What a rough week.

So we celebrated Easter today, on a Saturday, because I have to work on Sunday at the stadium. It was mimi, poppy, nana, and us. Ben didn't join us this year. Natalie was so cute in her Easter dress. She was a little strange at dinner, as she didn't want to sit in her own chair - so she sat in my lap. But she played with poppy while we played Scrabble. Mimi won. Today was a good day with the family.
The rest of the week, well that was a bit rought. Grandpa passed away. Since his memory was gone, it was for the best. Grandpa was a wonderful man. He was a model husband - helping grandma clean and do the dishes and go grocery shopping every week. He had a great sense of humor. He made wonderful wood projects, including the book case in the living room. He had a great heart.
Then later in the week, my cousin Andrew passed away. He was 32 years old, leaving behind his 9 year old daughter, Madison. He died of the flu. Now Andrew was the kindest and most giving person I know. I know life wasn't easy for him, but he always had a smile on his face.
Both family members will be missed.

Life Continues

Pic above from shooting with Mike B last weekend at Union Station.  Sold a couple of items (zip drive and card reader) on Ebay this week. Nicole is gone through Tues for work stuff. Natalie and I rented and watched Mulan last night. Twice. This morning Nicole and Nat did the little gym. They said they had fun. Ball game comes on at 9pm tonight, but I think I better head to bed. Natalie just will not sleep past 7am.

Saturday Night IN

It is grandman Nana's birthday and Natalie and I had to stay home. She has a fever and threw up once. She said she was sleepy and well, I guess she really meant she wasn't feeling good. After a couple of naps, she seems to be doing better. Here it is a beautiful day and we are stuck inside. She doesn't get sick very often, so it is hard to see her so quite and laying around.
I guess that is why she wasn't herself at the little gym. She had been going in by herself for the past few weeks, but today, she didn't want to go in at all. Finally, when I was about to take her home - well she wanted nothing to do with that! So I watched as she watched the rest of the kids. She did one station really well. She was having fun. Then they moved to another station, and Mr. Mike had to get her and hold her hand. It was funny because one of the instructors laid down for the kids to jump over. It was pretty silly. Natalie didn't know what to think of that! I keep hoping that one day she will go in and play like the rest of the kids.
She did say she wanted to try soccer, but I think that might be too much for her? I should find a soccer game for her to watch before we sign her her up.
