The Fourth has Passed

Update: Our trip to the Dells, Minneapolis, Duluth, and Milwaukee is over. We have decided a travel trailer is not all that. Oh well, it was still a good time. Nicole was disappointed that we only had one camp fire, but it was quite the nice fire. Natalie had fun at Mall of America riding all the rides. I think I liked Duluth the best, though we were only there for 2 days. The Brewers beat the Cards. We've also had the 4th. We did Webster to see fireworks again. Again, Natalie enjoyed em. She and Nicole have been doing some swimming over the summer (our pool, Jen's pool, Sandy's pool, Debbie's pool......they just don't care). Fri we will be picking up Nicole's Mini Next week Nicole and I are going to Destin. See ya later.

Days Are Flyin' By

I have better news to report this post. After giving myself a 6 month goal of finding a new positions at work, I have succeeded. I start a new position after we return from our trip up North. Yesterday was Mother's Day. We again celebrated on Sat. since Nicole was working on Sun. She is getting a Mini Cooper from Natalie (She must be a great Mom). We went to the butterfly museum for the first time. Still got to do dinner at Rizzo's with the Mom's yesterday evening. Andy and the crew were there as well. I guess that's it for now.

What a rough week.

So we celebrated Easter today, on a Saturday, because I have to work on Sunday at the stadium. It was mimi, poppy, nana, and us. Ben didn't join us this year. Natalie was so cute in her Easter dress. She was a little strange at dinner, as she didn't want to sit in her own chair - so she sat in my lap. But she played with poppy while we played Scrabble. Mimi won. Today was a good day with the family.
The rest of the week, well that was a bit rought. Grandpa passed away. Since his memory was gone, it was for the best. Grandpa was a wonderful man. He was a model husband - helping grandma clean and do the dishes and go grocery shopping every week. He had a great sense of humor. He made wonderful wood projects, including the book case in the living room. He had a great heart.
Then later in the week, my cousin Andrew passed away. He was 32 years old, leaving behind his 9 year old daughter, Madison. He died of the flu. Now Andrew was the kindest and most giving person I know. I know life wasn't easy for him, but he always had a smile on his face.
Both family members will be missed.

Life Continues

Pic above from shooting with Mike B last weekend at Union Station.  Sold a couple of items (zip drive and card reader) on Ebay this week. Nicole is gone through Tues for work stuff. Natalie and I rented and watched Mulan last night. Twice. This morning Nicole and Nat did the little gym. They said they had fun. Ball game comes on at 9pm tonight, but I think I better head to bed. Natalie just will not sleep past 7am.

Saturday Night IN

It is grandman Nana's birthday and Natalie and I had to stay home. She has a fever and threw up once. She said she was sleepy and well, I guess she really meant she wasn't feeling good. After a couple of naps, she seems to be doing better. Here it is a beautiful day and we are stuck inside. She doesn't get sick very often, so it is hard to see her so quite and laying around.
I guess that is why she wasn't herself at the little gym. She had been going in by herself for the past few weeks, but today, she didn't want to go in at all. Finally, when I was about to take her home - well she wanted nothing to do with that! So I watched as she watched the rest of the kids. She did one station really well. She was having fun. Then they moved to another station, and Mr. Mike had to get her and hold her hand. It was funny because one of the instructors laid down for the kids to jump over. It was pretty silly. Natalie didn't know what to think of that! I keep hoping that one day she will go in and play like the rest of the kids.
She did say she wanted to try soccer, but I think that might be too much for her? I should find a soccer game for her to watch before we sign her her up.

One Month Later

It's a month later and there has a been lots happening. Yes I feel much better. We have had St. Pat's day and the eagle above is from the parade down town. Natalie, Nicole, and I found the weather to be about the best it has ever been. We left a little early so Nicole can get to the Fox on time, but Natalie collected lots of beads and candy. Nicole and I met Chris, Jen and Mike at Chandler Hill winery on Sat. I guess those were the highlights. We have been working on planning our trip for the summer, taking a travel trailer north. Hope to be back before May.

Another Day at Home

Well that's 2 sick days this week. I will not be taking anymore, though I am not back to normal yet. Natalie went to Meme's this morning, but I picked her up about 12:30 and she is now reading her Being Kind book. It's taco Tues.. A couple more hours before Nicole gets home. Natalie seems to be a happy camper on days she comes home from school, so I think she enjoys it and have decided she should go 3 days a week. That means will be looking for a new job....back to 5 days a week I guess. See ya tomorrow.

Monday at Home

After a night of not falling asleep because of my breathing/flem issues, storms, and Natalie visits at 1:30 am, 2 am, and 2:30 am, I am at home. I was finally able to sleep from about 7:30 this morn until about noon after taking Tylenol. Any who, just took a call from Bryan and need to meet Nicole and Nat at the roadhouse for dinner at 5.

Day 2

Today is day 2 and I have yet to hear from Nicole to see if she is going to participate. I haven't said anything to her, just sent an email invitation. This is one of our typical Sundays. Nicole has done a little cleaning, leaving me sleep in. We all took a trip to the grocery store. We are covered for the week. Natalie and I had sandwiches and Nicole is off to a candle party / lunch. The candle party seems to have trumped our trip to the pet parade today, though that is ok with me.

Fresh Start

I'm wanting to start a new blog. I had one at one time, but cant remember the url. Oh, well. I'm not sure where this one will go. I think I want it to be a place where Nicole and I can post things that Natalie may find interesting one day, but I would also like a place to put my pics that I like without it being everything I take like flicker is right now.
